The School Council is made up of leaders from year 6. The views of children from across the school are collected through 'Smart School Councils', which ensures everyone's voice is heard.
Those children who showed an interest in becoming a school councillor were asked to apply for the position as part of the year 6 pupil leadership team process.
The elected children meet regularly with Mrs Coysh, where they discuss questions to take back to the classes for discussion. The results of these discussions are then presented at the next School Council meeting. The year 6 school councillors also meet with other student voice representatives from across the trust on a termly basis, working on trust-wide projects.
